Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply for PATS?

The Patient Assistance Transport Scheme (PATS) is a subsidy program funded by the SA Government to assist people travelling more than 100km each way to receive approved medical services.

It provides a subsidy to eligible patients for the cost of the long distance travel to specialist diagnostic or treatment services.

Application forms are available from referring local doctors, your local PATS office or online at www.countryhealthsa.sa.gov.au/pats

The PATS process may take up to six weeks to be processed from the date of lodgement.
